Herefordshire-based PR and marketing consultancy, Wilesmith, is pleased to introduce award-winning journalist and communications consultant, Sally Williams, as PR Account Manager, to assist business owner, Sophie Robinson, to manage and grow her impressive portfolio of agricultural clients.
Sally has a wealth of experience in news and feature writing, digital social media, and in managing PR and marketing campaigns in sustainable agriculture, renewable energy and horticulture.
Sally says: "I'm thrilled to be joining Sophie, who is so highly regarded in the niche market of sustainable agriculture and horticulture. Sophie is a pleasure to work with and between us, our contacts cover the England/Wales border and beyond. I share Sophie's passion for sustainable farming and look forward to working with an array of innovative businesses, as we move through the agricultural transition."
As Country & Farming Editor for the Western Mail, South Wales Echo and Walesonline, Sally wrote countless specialist features in magazines, newspapers and digitally, on a wide variety of themes, with climate change as a specialism.
Sally says: "The aim was always to reach the highest number of people and to increase sales and brand awareness. I enjoy writing anything from front-page national, breaking news stories with hourly deadlines and updates, to personal opinion columns and specialist blog posts."
Sally also has extensive experience of events management and public relations, having served as a member of the Royal Welsh Agricultural Society Press Committee for many years and delivering breaking online news stories and videos from the show, as well as editing a 30-page glossy show guide.
Sally's broadcasts have included video interviews with numerous Government Ministers and Farmers' Union leaders, conservationists, farmers, lobbyists and celebrities, including the BBC's Kate Humble. Sally has reported on more than a decade of Royal Visits to Wales, plus food & drink awards and travel reviews. Her daughter, Phoebe, who accompanied her on her travels, and sat alongside her in the Press Room at many shows over the years, gained a First-class Honours Degree in Business and Marketing Management and is a talented and successful Account Manager for a Shropshire digital agency.
